hi per, just got your soap-album, listened to it, and i have to say its great music from you...one more time! I get a red head if I say that, but I am a real Fan. I´m also writer and singer for my band (sommersturm) and we have an concert in an old cinema hall, called "Sommersturm - One nite at the cinema" with real strings, percussions, 4 Gituars etc, Sended by local TV-Station and Radio...like tradition of MTV´s unplugged series...my question: Is it ok if i play one song from you on this nite? Hi Per, this morning one of my neighbores had his window open, playing spending my time at almost-concert-volume so the entire heart of the city was listening. Dear Per, thank you so much for answering my question (about how it is for you to write lyrics). It was an inspiring surprise for me. I just want to say that I really enjoy listening to 'soap' though it's going to take me some time to discover more of it (as it's different from classical Gessle). What I wanted to ask you about: is writing instrumental music more demanding than writing songs with words? (btw, I like your Indiansommar a lot). It is where you have to express yourself in music only. Is there any classical composer whose music inspires you especially? But sometimes you feel an album needs some..... space..... I never really got into classical music that much. However, I listened a lot to Erik Satie when I was younger. |

Hi Per!! Did you watch the ramones documentry on svt? I did, and they are so very good i think, i like Beat on the Brat most, Which is your favorite? How many Rickenbackers do you have? Do you know any store in gothenburg who sell them? Is it okey if i send you a tape with some songs i`ve written to my band? Am I very far out when I associate your "spettekage"-photo with the gatefoldsleeve photo from Harrisons "Living In The Material World" and the "balansing London"-photo with the "Beatles Mad Day Out"-photo from the roof? The Walrus Was Paul PS For years I thought parts of "Jag går och Fiskar" was directly stolen from Mick Ronsons "Billy Porter". But the only thing you ever stole from mick was the hairstyle (pearls of passion!). DS Answer: hi johan, well yes and no. i showed the living in the material world-sleeve to anton. to my surprise he had never seen it! i like the outdoor setting outside george's house....food, drinks, friendship, good vibes etc etc. so sure, it was in the back of my head. the cake, however, was a surprise to me. it was a present from christoffer's wife, ylva, i didn't know about it. but i loved it! the beatles pic you're referring to is beyond me, i don't know what that is. i loved billy porter for a couple of months in my teens. maybe i should get in in my ipod???? |
